Housing in College Park, June 5 - 9:

Accepted students should register for on-campus lodging when they register for the ACNS Meeting.

Housing in Gaithersburg, June 10 - 12:

We have reserved a block of rooms at the Sleep Inn, 2 Research Court, Rockville, Maryland, at the NIST rate of $69 (plus 12% tax) per night. Accepted students will be asked to contact the hotel directly to make reservations, preferably no later than May 19, 2004. They should state that they will be attending the Summer School on Neutron Small Angle Scattering and Reflectometry from Submicron Structures at NIST, and that they are entitled to the special room rate. Staying overnight in Gaithersburg on Saturday, June 12th, is optional, but available for those who are unable to return home on the 12th due to the late closing of the summer school at 4:00 p.m.

The room rate includes a Continental breakfast. The hotel provides shuttle service to and from the Shady Grove Metro station until 9 p.m. Shuttle reservations should be made a day in advance.

Transportation between airport and hotel:

Van service to College Park and Gaithersburg from Reagan National, BWI (Baltimore-Washington International) and Dulles airports is available from Maryland Shuttle (1-800-590-0000, 301-881-8800), or from Super Shuttle (1-800-258-3826) for roughly $25. Reservations are not needed for the Super Shuttle.

The Washington Metro has subway service to Gaithersburg from Reagan National Airport. The travel time from the Shady Grove station in Gaithersburg, the terminus of the "Red Line", to Reagan National Airport is 50-60 minutes. A one-way ticket costs $2.20 during off peak hours, $3.60 during peak hours (5:30-9:30 a.m. and 3-8 p.m.). NIST and local hotels are a short taxi ride from the Shady Grove station or you may call the Sleep Inn for a shuttle pickup (before 9 p.m.).

Transportation between hotel in Rockville and NIST:

We intend to provide a NIST vehicle to pick up attendees at the Sleep Inn each morning, and return them to the hotel in the late afternoon.
