POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWSHIPS IN CONDENSED MATTER PHYSICS

The NIST Center for Neutron Research (NCNR) is seeking candidates for a postdoctoral fellowship in the Condensed Matter Physics Team, which supervises a suite of thermal and cold neutron triple axis spectrometers. The position is available as part of the recently created Director's Postdoctoral Fellows Program. A doctorate in condensed matter physics or related discipline is required. Experience in triple-axis neutron spectrometry or related technique is desirable but not essential. The incumbent is expected to collaborate with CMP scientists as well as perform their own independent research taking advantage of the wide range of neutron instrumentation available at the NCNR. Appointment is typically for two years, with a starting salary in the range of $65k.
