Beam Time Requests for the BT-1 High Resolution Neutron
Powder Diffractometer
Beam time requests for use of the
BT-1 high resolution diffractometer
will be accepted
each facility cycle. The deadline for requests
that are submitted through the Web via the
NCNR proposal system
will be approximately two weeks prior to the
start of each operating cycle. Requests submitted via this expedited system
will be reviewed within the NIST Center for Neutron Research
before time for the next cycle is scheduled.
If the request is accepted, we will attempt to schedule
beam time in the cycle following its submission, provided
that sufficient time is available and the participants prefer
rapid scheduling.
The system allows researchers to access the BT-1
facility as quickly as 2 to 7 weeks after the deadline,
approximately every two months.
