The TMNS03 has been sponsored by the NIST Center
for Neutron Research (NCNR)
and the Center for Theoretical and Computational Materials Science
(CTCMS).
NCNR
The NIST Center for Neutron Research (NCNR) is part of the Materials
Science and Engineering Laboratory at the National Institute of Standards
and Technology (NIST) in Gaithersburg, Maryland. The activities of
the NCNR are focused on provision of neutron measurement capabilities
to researchers in the U.S.A.
The NCNR is a national center for research using thermal and cold
neutrons, offering advanced measurement capabilities for use by all
qualified applicants. Many instruments rely on intense beams of cold
neutrons emanating from a recently upgraded liquid hydrogen moderator.
