Distance Learning Course on "Small-Angle Neutron Scattering"
The University of Maryland will be offering a distance learning course on various aspects of Small-Angle Neutron Scattering (SANS) during the Spring Semester (January to May) 2010. This will be a graduate level course of 3 credit hours. Audiovisual as well as pdf files will be sent to participants on a weekly basis. Homeworks will be corrected on a weekly basis. Some of the material covered follows:
Neutron Sources and Neutron Flux
Neutron Scattering
SANS Technique and Instrumentation
Simple SANS Data Interpretation
SANS Data Modeling
SANS from Polymers
SANS from Complex Fluids
SANS in Biology
SANS in Materials Science
Even Lower SANS Scales
Registration information will be available in November 2009. If interested, please contact Boualem Hammouda (hammouda@nist.gov).
