Charles J. Glinka
Charles Glinka is a condensed matter physicist at the
Center for Neutron Research at
the
National Institute for Standards and Technology
in Gaithersburg, MD. He oversees the Small-Angle Neutron Scattering (SANS) program, and is the project director for the NIST/NSF Center for High Resolution Neutron Scattering (CHRNS) at the NCNR.
Research Interests:
Applications of small angle neutron scattering to materials science including the characterization of microporous materials and physical and chemical phenomena occurring in microporous media, the behavior of complex fluids under shear, and mechanisms for materials synthesis through molecular self-assembly; neutron optics; neutron scattering instrumentation and techniques.
