ICE - New Instrument Control Software for NCNR instruments

The development and impending deployment of a state of the art neutron triple axis spectrometer at BT7 presents us with an opportunity to overhaul our venerable suite of instrument control software. Over the past year the data acquisition group has developed an framework for instrument control to address needs for extensibility, portability, computer security, and remote operation. We will present an architectural overview of the project, an update on its current status and a demonstration of its operation.
