Instrument One-Day Tutorials

Due to the overwhelming demand for the NCNR Summer School program, a series of one-day insturument tutorials have been extablished. These tutorials are designed to mimic a single day of the summer school whereby each participant assists in a single experiment. The participants receive a brief overview of the technique, an introduction to data reduction and analysis and gain hands-on instrument time.

Each tutorial is instrument specific. The tutorials are typically sheduled for the late-winter, early spring time, in the year the instrument is not involved in the up-coming summer school. For 2010, Triple-Axis hosted a tutorial on February 16th. DCS, HFBS and Spin Echo hosted their tutorials on February 22nd and 23rd.

There is no financial assistance for travel, hotel or food.

If you are interested in signing up for or learning more about the tutorials, please contact Yamali Hernandez.
