User communication with the spectrometer

To communicate with the spectrometer from the dcs computer three applications are provided: dcsgui, dcs, and dcstalk. You will mostly be using dcsgui, but occasionally you may need to use dcs and/or dcstalk. To invoke dcsgui, dcs, or dcstalk type the appropriate command at the prompt.
