Beam masks and beam stops

Before mounting the sample environment determine the appropriate beam mask to use. We can use two masks to mask the neutron beam. One of them is used to mask the width of the neutron beam and the other one is used to mask the height of the neutron beam.

Cadmium Mask
The cadmium mask on the left is used to mask the beam width,
the one on the right is used to mask the beam height

Beam stops (sorry, not yet available)
