Control Procedures

1. Close neutron beam using the local instrument shutter mounted on the main beam shield shared by BT8 and BT9. If necessary, contact operations (x6292) to close main BT9 shutter on the south wall of the confinement building near the steps leading to the control room.
2. Preferably shut down the BT9 circuit breakers:
   • UPS bt9 instrument control: B/RF/WI/23, 28 and 36 and B/PB/WI/9
   • UPS bt9 experiment B/PB/WI/9 and non-UPS B/PF/WI/6, 10 and 34.
3. If necessary, isolate power to the instrument by shutting down main BT9 outlet circuit breakers. All breakers are located on the west wall. Main breaker shutdown affects other instruments. The main circuit breakers are B/RF/WI B/PB/WI and B/PF/WI.
